New allegations have surfaced on social media regarding ZachXBT, known for his investigations into fraud in the cryptocurrency world. An anonymous user, identifying themselves as “an ordinary investor from Eastern Europe,” has published a comprehensive series of posts detailing ZachXBT’s true identity and financial connections.

Allegedly, ZachXBT’s real name is “Zachary Wolk,” and this information was first discovered during a defamation lawsuit filed in 2023. The posts claim that court documents from the lawsuit, filed by investor Machi Big Brother, mention “Zachary Wolk, residing in Kingsland, Texas.” It is further alleged that identity matching was then carried out through open source research (OSINT), including swimming race data, high school records, and local news archives.

The anonymous account also claimed that ZachXBT’s behavior had changed in recent months, that he had adopted a more aggressive and “untouchable” profile. The post alleged that ZachXBT had previously placed bounties on information about certain individuals, which could pose legal problems under US law.

Another focus of the allegations was ZachXBT’s financial relationships with certain projects and companies. The post stated that approximately $1.1 million was raised through a “community advocacy fund” established in 2023. It was claimed that prominent figures in the industry, such as Changpeng Zhao, Justin Sun, Jesse Powell, and Sandeep Nailwal, were among the donors.

The posts also claimed that ZachXBT received various payments or grants from Hyperliquid, Optimism, and some centralized cryptocurrency exchanges. It was specifically alleged that ZachXBT received HYPE tokens as a grant following critical posts about Hyperliquid, after which the criticism of the platform ceased.

In addition, the anonymous user claimed that approximately $3.87 million worth of sales were made in 2025 via a memecoin issued in the name of ZachXBT. It was argued that the token was sent to ZachXBT without their knowledge and that the sale was carried out “to protect their name.”

On the other hand, most of the claims made in the posts have not been independently verified. ZachXBT has not yet made a comprehensive statement on the matter.
