South Korea-based cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has announced a new listing as part of its strategy to increase the variety of assets offered to its users. According to the platform’s statement, MegaEther (MEGA) will be listed in the Korean won (KRW) trading pair.
According to the announcement, deposit and withdrawal operations for MEGA will begin on April 30, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Spot trading is planned to open on the same day at 8:00 PM. It was stated that transactions will be conducted through the project’s mainnet, and transfers over different networks will not be supported. Furthermore, it was mentioned that 200 block confirmations will be required for transactions. The initial reference price for MEGA has not yet been announced.
The stock exchange will implement the trading restrictions it frequently applies to newly listed assets for this listing as well. Accordingly, buy orders will be restricted for the first 5 minutes after trading begins. During the same period, sell orders below 10% and above 100% of the reference price will not be accepted. In addition, only limit orders will be available for approximately the first two hours.
Bithumb also issued several warnings to investors regarding user security. It reminded investors that crypto assets carry high risks and emphasized that investment decisions are the responsibility of the individual. Furthermore, it was stated that, in accordance with Travel Rule regulations, transfers can only be made through approved platforms, and cautioned against asset loss in case of improper network usage.
