Notorious cryptocurrency scammer Sam Bankman-Fried is running an intense social media campaign to request a pardon from President Donald Trump.

However, according to a statement from the White House, Trump is not inclined to pardon Bankman-Fried.

Bankman-Fried, a former significant donor to the Democratic Party, has adopted a strongly pro-Trump stance in recent public statements. In posts on the X platform, she accused Judge Lewis Kaplan, appointed by Clinton, of political bias, while showering Trump with praise and support. These posts are being interpreted as a call for Trump to pardon her, similar to the pardons he granted to financial criminals during his presidency.

Bankman-Fried’s social media account is filled with dozens of posts containing anti-Trump conspiracy theories. Many of these are seen as a strategy to revamp his public image and win Trump’s forgiveness. However, this attempt has not been well-received in the White House. A White House spokesperson stated that Trump has absolutely no plans to pardon Bankman-Fried and will not change his mind on this matter.

In an interview with The New York Times in January, Trump reportedly made it clear that he was not considering pardoning Bankman-Fried. This stance suggests that the president will not apply it to other prominent figures such as former New Jersey senator Robert Menendez and former Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.
