Arthur Hayes, a well-known figure in the crypto market and founder of BitMEX, continues to increase his position in HYPE, the native token of the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
According to data shared by Hyperliquid News, Hayes acquired an additional 16,434 HYPE via the Gate exchange on February 16th.
Following the latest transaction, Hayes’ total HYPE holdings have risen to 205,629,927. Based on current market prices, this amount is worth approximately $6.12 million.
Hayes’ recent increase in purchases of HYPE has attracted attention among investors, with market participants interpreting this move as a sign of confidence in the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
Hyperliquid, which is growing particularly in the decentralized derivatives sector, stands out with its increasing trading volume and user interest, and this is cited as one of the factors supporting demand for the token.
On the other hand, details were not shared regarding whether Hayes’ purchase was made directly from the spot market or through another transfer method. However, this transaction, which took place via Gate, was recorded by on-chain tracking platforms.
While high volatility persists in the crypto market, large investors increasing their positions in certain altcoins can have a short-term impact on prices. Analysts emphasize that such accumulations can strengthen market sentiment, but investors should not neglect risk management.
