Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has attracted attention with his support and interest in Dogecoin (DOGE), came to the forefront with a post he made in 2021.
Accordingly, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revived the long-running “shipping the moon” rhetoric by responding to a post that mentioned Dogecoin.
Elon Musk responded to a post referencing his previous 2021 post where he said SpaceX would “actually send Dogecoin to the Moon.”
Musk responded on X (formerly Twitter) with “probably around next year.”
Musk’s response comes after a January 2021 post in which he said he would send Dogecoin to the moon resurfaced.
Although Musk responded with “next year,” neither Musk nor SpaceX has since clarified what “next year” refers to, nor have they announced any new initiatives related to Dogecoin.
At the time, Musk’s statements caused a sharp increase in Dogecoin’s price. However, this time the situation is different. Even after Musk’s comment, there was no significant price movement in Dogecoin, and it is currently trading below $0.11.
