Cryptocurrency analytics company Santiment has shared the altcoins that have experienced the strongest increase in whale transactions (transfers of $100,000 and above) in the last seven days.
According to the data, Cronos (CRO) and Bitget Token (BGB) in particular experienced extraordinary whale activity on a weekly basis.
Santiment stated that these sharp increases seen in the Cronos and Bitget ecosystems indicate that whales are reorganizing their positions. According to the analytics firm, similar whale jumps observed in the past on both CRO and BGB have often resulted in increased trading volume and price volatility. Santiment also noted that Circle’s stablecoin USDC has seen a more than sixfold increase in whale activity this week.
According to Santiment’s study, which only covers projects with a market capitalization of over $500 million, the following altcoins experienced the highest increase in whale activity in the last seven days compared to the previous week:
- Cronos (CRO) – 1111.11%
- Bitget Token (BGB) – 800%
- Wrapped Ethereum (WETH – Optimism) – 710.78%
- USD Coin (USDC – Optimism) – 527.94%
- LayerZero (ZRO – Arbitrum) – 500%
- Dai (DAI – BNB Chain) – 433.33%
- LayerZero (ZRO – Ethereum) – 420.34%
- Usual USD (USD0) – 338.30%
- Mantle (MNT) – 309.09%
- Kelp DAO Retaken ETH (RSETH) – 260.42%
