Although the cryptocurrency market started 2026 weakly, whales remained active. At this point, whales attracted attention with their diverse trends.

According to Lookonchain’s report, a massive whale surprised everyone. Apparently, a giant whale who lost tens of millions of dollars in Ethereum (ETH) transactions changed its investment strategy and turned to gold.

An anonymous whale, who lost $18.8 million in ETH in just two weeks, abandoned their Ethereum investment and turned to gold.

While whales are shifting from Ethereum to gold, one whale is on the verge of giving up. According to Lookonchain data, the whale is very close to exiting its PUMP investment.

Six months ago, a whale who spent $3 million USDC across two wallets to buy 750 million PUMP in a public sale recently invested 750 million PUMP, worth $1.47 million, in Hyperliquid.

If the whale sells all of its PUMPs, it will incur a total loss of $1.53 million (51 percent) on this investment.

In contrast, a whale withdrew 800 BTC worth $70.9 million from Bitfinex in the last 24 hours. This whale currently holds 1,000 Bitcoin, accumulated over the past 6 days, which is worth $89.04 million.

A whale recently acquired LIT, one of the popular altcoins. According to reports, a wallet invested an additional $2 million in USDC to increase its LIT holdings. Currently, the wallet holds 2.45 million LIT. These LIT tokens were purchased over the last two days at $2.46 each, totaling $6.03 million.
