While partnership news continues to come in the cryptocurrency market, the latest news came from Georgia.
Accordingly, the Georgian Ministry of Justice announced that it signed an agreement with Hedera (HBAR).
In the official statement, it was stated that the Georgian Ministry of Justice signed a memorandum of understanding with Hedera, one of the leading platforms in the blockchain ecosystem, to implement the latest digital technologies in the public sector.
Under the agreement, Hedera's network technology will be used to improve the efficiency, transparency, and security of various public services in Georgia. The collaboration aims to strengthen the country's digital infrastructure and redefine citizen-government interactions.
As part of the agreement, Georgia also aims to move the country's land registry onto chain and tokenize real estate.
The statement stated that the Hedera network stands out with its features such as high transaction speed, low cost and energy efficiency.
The Georgian government has been a long-time advocate of blockchain technology, even moving to use the Bitcoin blockchain to verify real estate transactions in February 2017.
