The Oversight Subcommittee of the Ways & Means Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives will hold an important hearing on digital assets on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
The session titled “Making America a Cryptocurrency Capital: Building Digital Asset Policies Fit for the 21st Century” will discuss how to create an appropriate tax policy framework in response to the growing influence of cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
“The rapidly growing digital asset industry needs clear and modern tax regulation to strengthen America’s claim to global leadership in this area,” said a joint statement by Committee Chairman Jason Smith and Subcommittee Chairman David Schweikert.
The hearing will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the 1100 Longworth House Office Building in Washington. The public will be able to follow the hearing via livestream on the Committee's official website.
The broadcast will be active when the session starts. In addition, the FED minutes, which will be closely followed by the cryptocurrency market on Wednesday, will be published at 21:00.
