The cryptocurrency market is known for its volatility, but it also attracts attention from time to time with its various absurdities.

Today, an early investor turned $135 into $1.2 million in a token that could be described as a memecoin.

According to Onchain data, the altcoin named First City in Mars (TERMINUS) increased its market value from $3.5 million to $35 million in two days.

A lucky trader witnessed the TERMINUS tokens he purchased for $135 about 15 days ago increase by 9,000x, reaching a value of $1.2 million.

Interestingly, this altcoin emerged after DogeDesigner, an account that Elon Musk frequently interacts with, announced that “the first city to be built on Mars will be called Terminus.” According to the X account in question, Elon Musk himself said this.

It is known that Elon Musk has a plan to build a city on Mars. However, considering that a significant portion of memecoins disappear after a while, the future of TERMINUS remains uncertain.
