OKX stated that this hacking incident was quite limited and stated that some users' accounts were accessed using fake documents and compensation was paid to these people.
OKX denied the allegations of security breach and stated that the investigation into the issue continues.

As you may remember, this hacking incident emerged on social media over the weekend after two OKX users claimed that their accounts were compromised and emptied.
Web3 security firm Dilation Effect claimed earlier this week that attackers exploited a vulnerability in OKX.
However, the exchange strongly denied the allegations of security breach and said, “This incident has nothing to do with Google Authenticator or SMS verification selection.”
OKX said in its latest statement that it has already paid compensation to users regarding the hacking incident and that they will continue to pay compensation to affected users.
Chinese cryptocurrency journalist Wu Blockchain announced in his post today that two users whose accounts were seized received full compensation from the exchange.
