Financial blockchain provider Digital Asset has successfully completed Canton Network testing. Financial sector heavyweights such as Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon, DRW, Oliver Wyman and Paxos participated in the pilot program.

According to the statement, the Canton pilot program enabled 15 asset managers, 13 banks, four custodians and three exchanges to seamlessly transact and settle tokenized assets. The pilot also supported transactions related to fund registration, digital cash, repo, securities lending and margin management.

Digital Asset CEO and Co-Founder Yuval Rooz described the pilot program as a significant milestone for the Canton Network. “Canton allows previously disconnected financial systems to connect and synchronize in ways that were not previously possible, while complying with existing regulatory rules,” Rooz said.

The company reported that more than 350 simulated transactions were successfully carried out.

The pilot program included abrdn, Baymarkets, BNP Paribas, BOK Financial, Cboe Global Markets, Commerzbank, DTCC, Fiùtur, Generali Investments, Harvest Fund Management, IEX, Nomura, Northern Trust, Pirum, Standard Chartered, State Street, Visa and Wellington Management. companies also participated. Deloitte served as observer and Microsoft as supporting partner.
