Bitcoin bulls started the day strong. As BTC surpassed $65,000 for the first time since November 2021, its ATH moved one step closer to $69,000.

With this rise, BTC is one step closer to its ATH of $ 69,000 in November 2021, and it is considered that increased inflows to spot Bitcoin ETFs, increased institutional adoption and the expected halving are effective in this rally.

While this rise in Bitcoin left investors waiting for a decline in a tailspin, according to data from Coinglass, $246 million in leveraged transactions were liquidated in the last 24 hours.

Of these, $160 million consisted of short transactions and $86 million consisted of long transactions. On an individual basis, the majority of liquidations were in Bitcoin, while BTC was followed by Ethereum (ETH).

While Bitcoin was rising, mem tokens were also on the rise. Among these meme tokens, PEPE was the most rising altcoin, while Dogecoin and Shiba Inu also attracted attention with their rise.

PEPE increased by over 65% in the last 24 hours, increasing its weekly gains to over 3.70%, and its transaction volume reached its highest level of 3.6 billion dollars, breaking a record.

While PEPE is on the rise path opened by cryptocurrencies such as DOGE, DOGE has increased by over 27% and SHIB by over 30% in the last 24 hours.

Speaking to Coindesk and evaluating the rise in meme tokens, ContentFi Labs COO Nick Ruck said, “As bluechip tokens and coins take a breather from the recent price increases, traders and investors are pumping meme coins to satisfy the hunger for quick returns.” said.
