While the SEC approved spot Bitcoin ETFs, opening the door to other spot ETFs, all eyes were first on spot Ethereum ETFs.
While the possibility of approval of XRP ETFs other than Ethereum was discussed, statements were also made by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse.
Speaking to CNBC's Arjun Kharpal, Ripple CEO said SEC approval would pave the way for other ETFs to launch in the US in 2024.
While Ripple CEO is certain that other cryptocurrency ETFs will be approved, he stated that the Ethereum ETF will be approved in the first stage.
“Ethereum and XRP ETFs will be approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), but the ETH ETF will be given the green light in the near future.
I think that's for sure. “I won't put a time horizon on it, but I definitely think there will be other ETFs.”
