New developments are taking place on the Ripple (XRP) front, which has triumphed over the SEC. Finally, the airdrop news came for XRP listed on the Gemini exchange.
At this point, the layer 2 network Evernode, which aims to bring smart contracts to the XRP Ledger via Hooks, has announced an airdrop for XRP users.
Stating that they plan to distribute 5,160,960 Evers to eligible XRP holders when the token named “Evers” is released, the Evernode team said that the airdrop program will take place in two steps.
“When it is released, we plan to distribute 5,160,960 Evers to eligible XRP holders.
The airdrop will involve a two-step process.
Snapshot of XRP holdings on the mainnet followed by airdrop distribution to eligible accounts on the Hooks sidechain based on the holders' XRP holdings on the mainnet.
We've chosen Friday, September 1, 6:00 PM AEST, as the snapshot date for XRP assets.
To claim any airdrop, XRP holders must hold their XRP directly on the Hooks chain rather than on an exchange.
Finally, we would like to remind you that the airdrop is a gift. While we will do our best, we make no promises/guarantees that you will receive an Ever airdrop or an Ever number.”
