A large number of altcoins have experienced significant volume gains in the last 24 hours on Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange.
These coins were listed as Bitcoin Gold (BTG), Civic (CVC), IOST, Algorand (ALGO), The Graph (GRT), Siacoin (SC).
Bitcoin Gold (BTG)
Bitcoin Gold, a fork of Bitcoin aimed at decentralizing mining, saw a 350.78% increase in 1-hour volume on Upbit, reaching $35,000 in volume. This was much higher than the average 50 1-hour volume of $8,000.
On Binance, the volume of BTG decreased by 28.60% from 27 thousand to 19 thousand dollars.
Civic (CVC)
Authentication and protection platform Civic reached $3 million in 1-hour volume on Upbit, up 298.13%. That was well above the average 50 1-hour volume of $743k. On Binance, the volume of CVC rose 19.40% from 474k to $566k.
IOST
IOST experienced 204.40% growth in its 4-hour volume on Upbit, reaching $63 million. This was significantly higher than the $21 million average volume of 50 4-hours. On Binance, the volume of IOST increased by 24.52% from $18 million to $23 million.
Algorand (ALGO)
Algorand saw a 292.99% increase in 1-hour volume on Upbit, reaching $9 million. The pre-rise volume was recorded as $2 million.
The Graph (GRT)
The Graph hit $1 million, up 317.76% in 1-hour volume on Upbit. This was much higher than the average 50 1-hour volume of $344k. On Binance, the volume of GRT fell by 12.88% from $1 million to $923,000.
Siacoin (SC)
Siacoin experienced a 421.71% growth in 1-hour volume on Upbit, reaching $224 million. The pre-rise volume value was measured at $43 million. On Binance, the volume of SC increased by 37.55% from $12 million to $16 million.
