The Twitter account of Hayden Adams, the founder of decentralized cryptocurrency exchange Uniswap (UNI), has been hacked by fraudsters.

Using Adams' verified account, hackers tried to trick innocent users into believing they were entitled to a gift of UNI tokens.

The fake tweet claimed that UniswapX is distributing UNI tokens for the next 24 hours to celebrate the launch of the platform. Users were promised more liquidity, better prices, MEV protection, and swaps with no gas fees.

Users were asked to click on a link shared in the tweet to check their availability. Users who click on the given link are redirected to a fake website that is ingeniously designed to imitate UniswapX's official platform.

However, the hacker also responded to the tweet shared by the UniSwap official Twitter account, announcing that Adams had been hacked, from the account he seized. In a tweet from Adams' account, the hacker claimed that all UniSwap users' tokens were in danger due to the hacking event, and again shared a fake link.
