Surprisingly, the Twitter account of famous American rapper 50 Cent was hacked and used to promote a cryptocurrency called GUNIT. In a recent incident, the market cap of GUNIT tokens skyrocketed to over $8 million within 30 minutes of the promotional tweet being sent.

The tweet, which included a link to pump the token price, was quickly deleted by 50 Cent. He clarified on Instagram that he had no involvement with the GUNIT token and that his Twitter account was hacked.

50 Cent said, “My Twitter and Thisis50.com were hacked. I have no affiliation with this cryptocurrency. Twitter moved quickly to close my account again. Whoever did this made $300,000,000 in 30 minutes.” said.

Recently, especially US celebrities have been launching their own tokens and making a large amount of profit from these tokens with memecoin status.

However, the $300 million earnings that 50 Cent claimed probably did not materialize. Because the market value of the token increased to 8 million dollars at its maximum value. Since the hacker probably cannot sell all the tokens at the peak price, his actual gain will be much less.
