A highly anticipated new validator client, Firedancer, is being launched on Solana (SOL), which started its rise in October 2023 and rose to $210 in March 2024.
Accordingly, Firedancer, the first of its kind bug bounty program, is offered by Jump Crypto and supported by bug bounty platform Immunefi.
Firedancer will run for 42 days, from July 10 to August 21, 2024.
Under the Firedancer program, Solana developers will have the chance to win up to $1 million by finding bugs in the “Firedancer” standalone validator client, which will be available starting Wednesday.
“A $1,000,000 bounty is available for anyone who finds bugs in Firedancer v0.1, a new authenticator client for Solana.
Firedancer v0.1 will respond to all bug reports within 24 hours.
Once the program ends, Immunefi will release an event-specific leaderboard and bug reports from the event.
“A few days after launch, Firedancer v0.1 will host a technical demonstration live on the Immunefi Discord.”
Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder and CEO of Solana Labs, also previously said that Firedancer could increase the speed of the Solana network.
Solana, which has fallen 36% from its peak price of $ 210 in March 2024, continues to trade at $ 133 at the time of writing.
